On the eve of the release of this new blog, I’m glad to be finding a surprising plethora of resources and organizations talking about our issues – father’s rights, violence against men, misandry in the media, men’s health – the whole gammut. Here’s a good example of the sort of work others are doing in these important areas:
Boys and the Boy Crisis Conference
July 13-14, 2007 in Washington D.C.
The conference featured some of the leading lights in the field of men’s issues, many of whom I hope to interview for the new Pendulum Effect podcast, including the McGill professors Paul Nathanson and Katherine Young and the eminent Warren Farrell, author of The Myth of Male Power. I just bought the conference DVD today, which we’ll screen as part of the new Men’s Issues Meetup group.
Lots happening, so subscribe to our RSS feed and let your friends know about the new initiatives!
