🚨 Huge news for men and boys in Canada 🚨
Federal Health Minister Marjorie Michel has announced plans to release a national strategy on the health and well-being of Canadian men and boys . This is something advocates, researchers and our community at CCMF have been calling for, for a long time.
Why this matters:
• 75,000 Canadian men died prematurely in 2023, many from preventable causes
• Most men delay seeking care due to stigma
• Fewer than half feel heard when they finally do reach out
The proposed strategy will focus on mental health, addiction and public safety, and encourage collaboration across provinces and territories. As we can't share news stories directly, we encourage you to Google “Federal health minister to launch strategy on men’s and boys’ health in 2026” for more information.
At CCMF, this reinforces why our work matters, and why we will keep showing up for men, boys, and families across Canada. This is how real change starts💙 ... See MoreSee Less
