We for He

CCMF – Ottawa brings a new dimension to support for men, their loved ones and their families with an educational and support group for everyone who wishes to learn how to better support the men in their lives, as well as having access to professionals who will be able to help the men’s spouses, parents, children, siblings etc.

We for He is a one-of-its-kind group that supports the people in men’s lives who are also struggling with the situations that these men are going through. We understand that more times than not, the man is not the only person in the household or family who is affected by their situation. This program aims to enable a safe place where family members and friends get the support they need while at the same time supporting the men in their lives. The group will discuss raw topics like toxic masculinity, feminism, stigmas surrounding men and boys, consent, mental health, etc. In addition, the group is participant-led, where people can come together to gain the support needed to be a positive support system for their spouses, exes, sons, fathers, uncles, cousins, friends, grandfathers, nephews, etc.

The group will invite guest speakers and educators as needed to support their exploration of various topics of interest and concern.

The We for He support and education group meets will meet biweekly on Thursdays. Contact us for details or to join the group. This group is open to all, regardless of sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, family status, race, ethnicity, creed, age or disability.
