WAYWARD SONS
THE EMERGING GENDER GAP IN LABOR MARKETS AND EDUCATION
by David Autor and Melanie Wasserman

It seems at this point the authors have not discussed 3 issues which I believe are very important:
1. the increase in the number of government workers and the affirmative action initiative to employ more women, resulting in men being underemployed in these high paying jobs with good benefits;
2.  the dominance of women in media and the apparent intended focus on female issues and the apparent intended lack of attention given to important male issues;
3.  the feminist agenda which includes feminizing education resulting in the disengagement of boys from education at a very young age, resulting in females receiving higher marks and higher acceptance at post-secondary institutions and boys feeling that school is just not for them.
