Male Youth Wellness Initiative

Announcing Our New Male Youth Wellness Initiative:
Join Our Community Consultation Session November 26
The Canadian Centre for Men and Families is partnering with the Malvern FamilyResource Centre in Scarborough (Ontario) to host a new pilot project: the Male Youth Wellness Initiative
Male youth face higher school dropout rates and suicide, are more prone to perpetrate bullying and to be on the receiving end of it, and suffer from a lack of male role models.
Join us in identifying the issues faced by the young men of Scarborough. If this initiative is successful we will be seeking to bring it to communities across Canada.
You’re invited to our upcoming community consultation, which will assist us in designing workshops geared to helping young men to:
* develop leadership skills and become leaders in the community
* improve their mental and physical wellness
* achieve academic success
* find career and employment guidance
Where: Malvern Family Resource Centre
90 Littles Road (Littles and Sewells Road intersection), Toronto, ON
When: Thursday, November 26th from 6:00PM to 8:00PM

Special thanks to our wonderful volunteer Afifa Khwaja for developing the program.
